Maintaining Your Veneers

Porcelain veneers are durable, but they are not indestructible. With proper care, they can last 15 to 20 years or longer. Brush twice daily and floss once daily as with natural teeth. Use a non-abrasive toothpaste to avoid micro-scratching the porcelain surface. Avoid biting fingernails, chewing ice, or using your teeth as tools. Wear your night guard if prescribed. Attend your regular hygiene appointments every 6 months — professional polishing maintains the surface lustre of your veneers.
